Who doesn’t love chocolate? And anything that’s made from chocolate or tastes chocolaty is so heavenly delicious, isn’t it? Anything we choose, we always prefer chocolate.– ice cream, cakes, pudding, waffles, mousse and of course, chocolates!! Yet again, we even find more varieties of recipes made simply with chocolates- both as the base ingredient and the main ingredient using various forms of chocolate like for example: chocolate brownie ice cream. With just cakes you can make a whole lot of different cake recipes using chocolates.
Chocolate relieves stress and relaxes you especially during mood swings. My friend used to have dark chocolate while studying; dark chocolate helps in giving good memory. It really does work! Dark chocolate is the most beneficial source of all chocolates, in terms of health. But eating any chocolate too much isn’t good. So don’t binge in by giving an excuse that chocolates are good, too much is too bad you know; anything for that matter. Though eating once in a while is not a crime either!
Chocolate brownie:
This recipe of making chocolate brownie is made by using cocoa powder and whole wheat flour. It is the simple method of making eggless chocolate brownie to have a quick bite, or to make them when guests are arriving at home; plus they are made using whole wheat flour. I made sure that this recipe is also given a nutritional twist by using walnuts and whole wheat flour.
These brownies are best relished when had with ice cream. I have not used dark chocolate in this recipe. I’ll post the recipe of brownie using dark chocolate in my next post. Try this recipe and let me know your experience in making them as well. Enjoy!!
Whole wheat Eggless Chocolate Walnut Brownie Recipe:
Ingredients:
Dry Ingredients
· Whole wheat flour (atta) 1 cup (60 gm)
· Powdered sugar 1 cup (60gm)
· Cocoa powder 1/3 cup (20gm)
· Baking powder 1 tsp
· Baking soda ¼ tsp
· Instant coffee powder ¼ tsp
· Walnut (chopped) ¼ cup or 12 gms

· Milk (room temperature) 1 cup ( 90 ml)
· Vinegar 1 tsp
· Vanilla essence ¼ tsp
· Sunflower oil/ olive oil ¼ cup (20 ml)
· Butter (room temperature) ¼ cup ( 20 gm)
METHOD OF PREPARATION
Step 1:
Pre heat the oven (otg or microwave oven) at 220 degree Celsius for 15 mins.
Step 2:
Take a bowl and sift together whole wheat flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and instant coffee powder. Mix well (dry)
Step 3:
In another bowl add milk, vinegar, vanilla essence. Pour this to the dry mixture. Mix it with a whisking machine or spatula.
Step 4:
Now add butter and oil. Add some chopped walnuts. Using cut and fold method mix the batter well. Make sure there are no lumps formed. Do not over mix the brownie batter.
Step 5:
Take the cake pan and place butter paper in it. Pour the prepared brownie mix into this pan and tap the pan to avoid formation of bubbles.
Step 6:
Place the pan into the oven and bake it at 220 degree Celsius for 25 to 30 minutes. Later when you feel it is done, insert a toothpick to check if the brownie is completely baked. It should come out clean. The brownie must not stick to it.
Step 7:
Take out the pan from the oven and let it cool for 5 mins. Then put the pan upside down and tap the brownie out of the pan. Remove the baking sheet slowly from the brownie. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature. Cut it into desired pieces and serve.

Tips:
1. You can add almonds, raisins, pistachios on top of the brownie; as well as to the brownie mix for more flavor.
2. You can use all purpose flour if you prefer to have a softer brownie. But this recipe is so healthy and delicious you can’t make out that it is actually made with wheat flour.
3. Serve this brownie with ice cream topped with chocolate sauce and choco chips. This combination is great to treat yourselves, especially during summer!
4. You can store the remaining brownies in an air tight container for 2 to 3 days in normal room temperature.
